More about our Services: OUR EXTRA PORTION SERVICE

The following plan by stages for combating the corona pandemic should take effect for autumn and winter:

Step 1

With an occupancy rate of 200 of the intensive care beds available in Austria's public hospitals and hospitals, the following measures apply:

  • Antigen tests are only valid for 24 hours after the test has been taken.
  • An FFP2 mask is compulsory at places of daily use (grocery retailers including sales outlets of food producers as well as petrol stations with affiliated sales outlets for groceries, pharmacies, banks, post offices, public transport).
  • The 3-G rule applies to gatherings of 25 or more people.
  • Strengthening the control of the measures in force.
Step 2

Occupancy of 300 intensive care beds - seven days later the following measures:

  • In night-time catering (e.g. discos, clubs, après-ski bars and dance halls) and at meetings with more than 500 participants: only those who have not exclusively assigned and marked seats (e.g. wedding, birthday or Christmas parties) have vaccinated and people who have recovered (2-G rule).

  • The following applies to staff in 2-G settings: Employees who have neither been vaccinated nor recovered must show a current, negative PCR test result and must also wear an FFP2 mask if they come into direct contact with the customer.

  • Antigen tests with self-acceptance ("living room tests"), point of sale tests as well as antibody tests are no longer permitted as evidence within the meaning of the 3-G rule.

Step 3

After 400 occupied intensive care beds have been exceeded, the following measures take effect immediately:

  • The access restrictions are extended. Wherever the 3-G rule currently applies, in future only vaccinated and / or recovered persons or persons who can show a negative PCR test will have access.
Step 4

Comes into force immediately after exceeding 500 occupied intensive care beds - valid since November 8, 2021!

3-G becomes 2-G: Wherever 3-G was previously in effect, only vaccinated and recovered people have access. This applies to:

  • Services with near contact to customers
  • Gastronomy, night gastronomy, Christmas markets, hotels and similar settings,
  • the cultural sector (theaters, cinemas and operas, but not museums),
  • Sports and leisure facilities
  • Visits to hospitals and old people's and nursing homes, with the exception of visits as part of palliative and hospice support or support during childbirth. An FFP2 mask must also be worn in closed rooms.

Transition period until December 6th, 2021: Until then, access is also possible with a first vaccination and an additional PCR test.

Workplace: Basically, the 3-G rule applies; stricter rules are stipulated in particularly sensitive areas.

  • Employees in night-time catering or après-ski and at major events (from 250 participants: inside), a 2G proof or, alternatively, a valid PCR test in combination with an FFP2 mask for customer contact.
  • The same rule applies to employees in health and care facilities. So only tested people have to wear an FFP2 mask. In addition, mouth and nose protection is required in this setting for vaccinated and convalescent people.

Antibody tests are no longer valid as G detection.

The following applies to events:

  • More than 25 participants: 2G compulsory
  • More than 50 participants: obligation to notify the district administrative authority up to 1 week before the event, appointment of a COVID-19 officer, creation of a prevention concept
  • More than 250 participants: approval from the district administrative authority required

FFP2 mask requirement in all shops, museums and libraries - wherever no G-proof is required.

High-risk decrees and thus exit controls are no longer applicable.

Green Pass:

  • Valid for nine months after the 2nd vaccination, after which a 3rd dose is required for a valid certificate (comes into force on December 6th, 2021).
  • For Janssen vaccinated persons, the following applies from 03/01/2022: A second dose is required for a valid Green Passport.

Children and teenager: Children up to the age of 12 are exempt from the proof requirement and therefore do not have to present a test result. For children and adolescents between 13 and 15 years of age (school age) the following applies: The ninja pass is equivalent to the 2-G certificate and is therefore also valid as an entry certificate for the restaurant, cinema or cable car. After completing the ninth year of school, young people must also have a 2-G certificate in order to be allowed to enter 2-G settings.

Customers who do not adhere to the 2G rule face an administrative penalty of up to 500 euros. The operator faces an administrative penalty of up to 3,600 euros if they breach their obligations in connection with the 2G rule.

Step 5

Comes into force immediately after 600 occupied intensive care beds have been exceeded

  • General Lockdown and entry restrictions
