Hallstatt

Probably the most beautiful lake in the world!

The market town of Hallstatt is located between the mountain and the lake on the western shore of Lake Hallstatt, in the Salzkammergut. Since 1197, the small town has been part of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites and unique in its many years of history and authentic architecture in the midst of a beautiful landscape. In the People's Republic of China, this enchanting place was even rebuilt, but original remains original.

It is due to the emergence of the rich salt deposits, which was discovered more than 4,000 years ago. Even today, above Hallstatt, in the world's oldest salt mine, the white gold is mined. The Salzwelten and an underground salt lake are also open to visitors. You can easily reach them, as well as the observation deck over Lake Hallstatt with the Salzbergbahn.

Especially in Hallstatt are the streets and houses, dating back to the 16th century. There you will find cafés and shops that offer numerous souvenirs for those who have stayed home. Another highlight is the boat trip with a Zille over Lake Hallstatt. Feel and see the unique backdrop of Hallstatt, the surrounding mountains and the lake from a very special perspective. It will remain in your memory forever.
